Two scholarships of 25.000 SEK are awarded to students in the field of technology who have developed an idea that may lead to a patent or manufacturing in Sweden.


The scholarship is open for applications only to students at Karlstad University during the application period 1–31 March.  Applications must be submitted individually and concern a clearly defined project. The following must be attached to the scholarship application:

  • Personal letter
  • CV / List of qualifications
  • Transcript of records (from Ladok)
  • Certificate from a teacher/supervisor at Karlstad University
  • Presentation of the developed idea

Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Documents related to the application must be attached as appendices.


The application must reach the scholarship committee no later than 31 March 2026.
A holistic assessment of the application will be made based on the following criteria:

  • Previous academic results in the relevant field
  • Feasibility of the proposed project
  • Relevance to the purpose of the scholarship
