Register for Bengt Ekholms fond för musikstudier - Vårterminen 2026

Two scholarships of SEK 25.000 each. The scholarships aim to promote in-depth studies in the field of music.

Students who have completed at least 1 year of full-time studies are eligible to apply. The scholarship is only available to students at Karlstad University during the application period from 1 - 31 March 2026.

The application must include:

• Cover letter
• Official transcript of records (from Ladok)
• CV / Resume
• Information about the reason for the application
• A project plan detailing the intended use of the scholarship

If the scholarship will be used for studies abroad, a travel and study plan should be attached. Where applicable, a letter of recommendation from a supervisor should be included.

The selection process may include auditions before decisions are made regarding recipients.

Incomplete applications and applications submitted after the deadline will not be processed. Documents included in the application should be submitted as attachments.

The application must be submitted to the scholarship committee by 31 March 2026.

The application will be assessed based on the following criteria:

• Previous study results within the field related to the scholarship
• Feasibility of the proposed project
• Relevance to the aim of the scholarship

The Scholarship Committee, which includes a student representative, decides who is awarded a scholarship. The Scholarship Committee’s decision will be announced in May.
