At the Department for Mathematics and Computer Science, we conduct research on digital solutions
for welfare and healthcare as part of the research project “DHINO – Digital Health Innovation”. For
this project, we are now looking for a project assistant to support the project for usability evaluations of health apps.
This position is focused on the development of AI-based tools for usability testing in the context of healthcare. This includes programming in Python and implementation of mobile apps for Android. The evaluation of tools is performed together with companies and the public sector and is documented and reported as scientifically reviewed publications.
The work is performed in collaboration with researchers at the Computer Science subject at Karlstad University as part of the DigitalWell Research Group. In order to contribute to a good working environment and to the development of the department, you are on site and participate in the daily work and the community.
For employment, a master's degree in computer science, documented experience in android app programming in a health context is required. During selection, special emphasis will be placed on experience with Python and Java/Kotlin, experience in research, as well as completed university credits in usability and machine learning.
Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as good cooperation skills, good judgement, responsibility, commitment to the business and a positive attitude towards colleagues. Good knowledge of English is of great importance. Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious.
Fixed term employment on a 100% basis.
Starting date 2025-01-01. End date 2025-12-31 with the possibility of extension.
