Project assistant in computer science, security and privacy testing

Description 

At the Department for Mathematics and Computer Science, we conduct research on digital solutions for welfare and healthcare as part of the research project “DHINO – Digital Health Innovation”. For this project, we are now looking for a project assistant to support the project with work in security and privacy testing.

Duties

The position is focused on security and privacy tests for mobile and web applications within digital healthcare and social systems. It also includes conducting security and privacy risk analysis. The work is carried out with the support of qualitative research methods and documentation and reporting in the form of scientifically reviewed publications.

The work is carried out in collaboration with researchers in computer science at Karlstad University within the research environment DigitalWell Research Group. To contribute to a good working environment and development of the business, you are on site and participate in the daily work and the community.

Qualification requirements

Employment requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, documented experience in security
and/or privacy practices to test applications (eg mobile and web) and assess impact, threat, risk and harm to individuals in a health context. When selecting candidates, special emphasis will be placed on experience in security and privacy for digital health systems, experience in research, and completed university credits in cybersecurity and privacy.

Great importance is placed on personal qualities such as good cooperation skills, good judgement, responsibility, commitment to the business and a positive attitude towards colleagues.

Good knowledge of English is of great importance. Knowledge of Swedish is meritorious.

Terms

Fixed term employment on a 100% basis.

Starting date 2025-01-01. End date 2025-12-31 with the possibility of extension.
