Background
The Faculty of Health, Science and Technology consists of five departments, one of which is the Department of Engineering and Physics. The department offers courses for the faculty’s engineering degree programmes, including courses in electrical engineering. The faculty has a Bachelor programme in electrical engineering focused on electrical power technology and the use of renewable electric energy. The programme has good connections to the regional industry and new engineers are very attractive on the job market. We now need to strengthen the Bachelor programme by recruiting a senior lecturer. The department conducts research in the disciplines physics, materials science and electrical engineering. The research in electrical engineering focuses on networks for renewable energy, statistical signal processing and robotics.
